Clase Azul Tequila Añejo
Bottle and packaging design for Clase Azul Tequila Añejo. A visual language built from Mexican symbolism — earth, water, agave, sun — embedded into every layer of the decanter.
Clase Azul México is a luxury brand that transforms each handcrafted ceramic decanter into a cultural object — one that honors Mexican tradition while elevating it through design, storytelling, and artistry. The challenge: design an Añejo expression that felt distinct within the Clase Azul family while deepening its cultural narrative. Not just beautiful, but meaningful at every detail. The solution was a layer-by-layer visual language drawn from Mexican symbolism: spirals on raw clay at the base representing earth's fertility; a thin blue line for the water that gives life to the agave; the piña carved at the center as the heart of tequila; and on the back, the four-petaled Mazahua flower — the Sun at the center of space and time. Every element earned its place. The feathered signature detail, rendered in 24K gold paint, anchors the piece within the Clase Azul family. The result is a decanter that functions as a cultural artifact — collectible, narrative-rich, and designed to outlast the last pour.
