Bottle and packaging design for Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero. A tribute to the Guerrerense woman — her traditional dress, the Olinalá craft, and the legend of the hummingbird.

Clase Azul México transforms each handcrafted decanter into a cultural object — a collectible that honors Mexican tradition while elevating it through design and storytelling. The challenge: translate the pride, beauty, and symbolism of a specific regional identity — Guerrero — into a bottle that felt personal, not generic. The risk was surface-level representation: adding color and pattern without earning the cultural depth behind them. The solution started with the Guerrerense woman. Her traditional dress — its vivid palette, intricate embroidery, and hand-crafted complexity — became the visual architecture of the bottle itself. The cap, crafted using the ancestral Olinalá "punteado" technique, carries a hummingbird drawn from Mayan legend: a creature born from jade by the gods to carry human thoughts and wishes from place to place. A symbol of good intention, alive in every detail. The result is a decanter that doesn't represent Guerrero — it embodies it. A collectible where every surface is a story, and every story belongs to the people who shaped it.
